We promise to deliver the best possible eye care and advice to you. We take the time to understand your needs in detail and carefully explain our recommendations. We always carry out a thorough investigation of your vision, assess your eye co-ordination, examine your eyes for possible health problems, and offer advice on any specific occupational or recreational needs. We are committed to ongoing professional development and the training of support staff in order to maintain the highest standards of clinical care and service.
Our Dispensing Opticians are all professionally qualified. Our Optometrists undertake a rigorous continuing education programme ensuring that we provide a service that is based on best practice from around the world.
EYE EXAMINATION FEES EXPLAINED
Our new fees for a private eye examination (£46) reflect the high quality of our resources, our well trained and professional staff, the extensive leading edge technology used by our Optometrists and the extended time required for the comprehensive procedures involved. Private appointments will now be for 40 minute. We are committed to the NHS and will continue to accept applications from NHS patients. However we really believe in the benefits of extending the NHS eye examination to the standard of our private eye examination. Accordingly, patients eligible for an NHS Sight Test will be able to pay an additional £25, which will enable us to carry out additional services, such as dilation and retinal photography, when necessary, which we believe are essential for a comprehensive eye examination but which are not currently included in the NHS Sight Test. Am I entitled to a free NHS eye test?
Some patients will not require an extended eye examination. Those under hospital eye department management will be adequately covered by the NHS sight test and those eligible for examination under the Welsh Eyecare Examination scheme. This may require two appointments on separate days. Please ring us if you are unsure of your eligibility. For more information on the Welsh Eyecare Examination scheme, click here.
ADDITIONAL DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES
Occasionally patients may require additional diagnostic procedures or testing which may necessitate them being conducted on a different day to the eye examination. Please give us a call on 01792 363353 for more information.
