Remote Edging Laboratory

The establishment of our our laboratory using the very latest remote edging facilities. Remote edging allows us to communicate directly with our preferred suppliers. What this means is when a patient selects a frame, that frame will be traced by a 3D scanner in practice, to a tolerance of 100th of a mm.

This information is transmitted via the web to the laboratories that make the lenses. The accuracy of the produced lenses is a real improvement in service and in many occasion the completed job is available more quickly than previously.

This also means that if a patient wants to use their old frame, we simply trace it, put their old lenses back in, and replace them with the new lenses when they arrive. It really is that good!
